Everyone who handles food must have the “skills and knowledge” to keep that food safe – National Food Safety Standard 3.2.2.

Food Safety Level One

Food Safety Level One provides the essential skills and knowledge. This foundation level is suitable for anyone that handles food in any industry.

What is covered in this training:

  • How to prevent food poisoning
  • The new laws and regulations (state & federal) are explained in plain English
  • Students learn how to keep food safe

For those who would like to know more about Food Safety and HACCP:

Food Safety Level Two and Food Safety Level Three cover Food Safety Program. and HACCP.

Students are awarded a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for the Units of Competency covered at each level.

Food Safety Level Two

Food Safety Level Two is suitable for anyone who works with a Food Safety Program. based on HACCP. Businesses that prepare food for vulnerable people such as Hospitals, Aged care facilities, Children’s Services and Caterers are, or will soon all be required to have a Food Safety Program.

What is covered in this training:

  • Learn what you need to know to comply with the new regulations
  • Understanding how to monitor and maintain records
  • Procedures to ensure that the food in your business remains safe

Food Safety Level Three

Food Safety Level Three has been developed to assist those who may be part of a workplace HACCP team or have the responsibility to develop and establish a Food Safety Program. based on HACCP.

What is covered in this training:

  • Participants are guided through the process of developing a Food Safety Program
  • Activities are used to identify hazards
  • Templates are provided that give students a “follow the bouncing ball” approach to developing or evaluating a HACCP-based Food Safety Program.
